I started as a Salesperson at Gillman in 2002 and worked my way up to Internet Manager and then Director of the Internet for the complex including, Mitsubishi and Used Cars, within my first year. I was promoted to Sales Manager by my third year of employment.
• Responsibilities included hiring, training, and motivating a sales staff of 25.
• Worked on weekly and monthly newspaper ads as well as radio advertisements.
• Monitored incoming and outgoing phone calls daily; as well as following up with every customer that purchased their vehicle from us in order to insure higher “CSI” ratings.
• Assisted in the ordering of the inventory and checked for accuracy once it arrived.
• Helped with departmental weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals, turnover goals, and training goals within our dealership.
• Was Honda Gold Certified two years in a row.

I sold Manufactured Homes.

As the Store Manager I handled all hiring for my location and trained staff in all areas of the business.
• Very heavy phone work seeing that Account Collections was the main focus of the store.
• Inventory was also a concern in the store, so organization was key.
• Was in charge of goal setting and tracking for my store as well as the other 3 locations in San Antonio.
I was with the company only a short time before all locations were closed.

I sold Manufactured Homes. This was a new store when I began working with the company, so my job included a lot of local marketing and lead development.
• Arranged all marketing through Chamber of Commerce.
• Learned to work with banks and lenders to get deals bought.
• Achieved Salesperson of the Month several times during my employment at the store.
• Named Customer Care Hero for the entire company in October of 1999.


6/1993 - 5/1998 Store Manager Hasting's Entertainment

At the beginning of my employment I was required to be a department manager of the following; Shipping and Receiving, Book department, Music department, and the Video department. Once my training was complete, I went through a peer review board to become a Store Manager.
• Took my first store from a large deficit to being profitable within 8 months. I was assigned a larger store soon after.
• In charge of the company’s small market store group, planned with the owner on how to make the stores more profitable.
• Interviewing, Hiring, Training, Reprimanding, Motivating, Customer Service, and Leading by Example were the biggest parts of my job.
• Very hands on P&L statement work.
• I also set and maintained weekly and monthly goals.
